On Saturday 7th April 2018, Lodge 96 held its Installation in the Masonic Centre Ballymena. Meanwhile the Stalwart Ladies enjoyed an afternoon of musical accompaniment in the Adair Arms Hotel.
The lodge officers, distinguished guests, and Brethren having assumed their places the Worshipful Master RW Brother David Henderson offered the Maul to Provincial Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother RW Brother J.O. Dunlop
and invited him to preside over the lodge. The PDGM declined the opportunity, cheerfully relinquishing this honour to ‘a greater authority’.
The Worshipful Master then proceeded to open the Lodge in an accomplished manner and having extended a warm welcome to all and salutes to distinguished brethren, he then received The Deputy Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Rodney Mc Curley who accepted the invitation to preside over the Lodge. Having returned the Maul to the Worshipful Master the installation of the Officers proceeded. The Worshipful Master invited Worshipful Brother John Johnston to install his successor V.W. Brother Davis Lyttle, which was done with great skill in John’s customary professional, friendly and relaxed manner. The newly installed Worshipful Master installed his officers a flawless manner with all the characteristic of a highly skill craftsman.
Following the Installation the Brethren gathered with their wives and partners for a the festive board in the Adair Arms hotel, where a superb meal and fraternal friendship was enjoyed by all. Congratulations to the Worshipful Master, Wardens and Brethren of Stalwart 96.
